The Hocking Hills region of southeast Ohio is a nature lover's dream!  With so many unique places to stay, eat & experience -- there is something for everyone to enjoy!!  On Guard Defense is pleased to have you as a guest at our Range & Training Center!  We have assembled a list here of area businesses that we recommend you check out during your visit.

Places to Stay

Big Pine Tree House in Rockbridge offers a different view of the Hocking Hills!  This adults-only cabin on a hill accommodates up to 4 people and provides a serene getaway for your stay.

Brimstone Ridge Cabins in Laurelville offers two cabin rentals located on 100 acres of private land.  From primitive hiking trails and ponds to soaking in a hot tub or cooking smores over the fire, Brimstone Ridge has it (including Internet access). 

Buffalo Lodging Company boasts rental units that can accommodate everyone from couples to a couple of dozen...literally.  Some of their lodges sleep up to 28 guests and come with private pools, fishing ponds and more!

Carefree Cabins is the place to stay whether you are looking for an intimate Hocking Hills getaway with the one you love or a fun-filled weekend with your family & friends! The Creekside Serenity, the Sandstone Oasis & the Hidden Gem Retreat cabins offer privacy, serenity and relaxation.

Conner Homestead Lodge & Cabin is situated in a quiet country setting in the forest.  Stunning lodge sleeps up to 14 while the cabin is a perfect place for two.

Fiddlestix Village lets you step back in time by staying in one of their restored authentic historical buildings furnished with antique interiors.  Choose from themed units including the Martin Country Store, the Appalachian Quilt Cabin & the 1926 B&O Caboose!

Honey Ridge Cabins is a full-service (& pet-friendly) vacation cabin rental located in South Bloomingville just minutes away from Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls & more! 

Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls is at it again!  As if their array of cottages, cabins and B&B rooms weren't enough, they now have yurts.  Correction, they have luxurious yurts.  Now that's what I call glamping!  Onsite shopping, fine dining & spa service, too.

Ravenwood Castle is a bed & breakfast nestled in the forest and provides a charming setting with a medieval flair! Check out the Raven's Roost Pub for hand crafted beers, fine wines, ciders & more.

Sunrise Log Cabins in Logan offers cabins where you can enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature while getting free WiFi!  Some of our visitors aren't able to completely unplug during their stay.  Staying at Sunrise means you get the best of both worlds.

The Tree House in Hocking Hills is truly among the trees...secluded, rustic & relaxing.  Fully-equipped kitchen, stocked private lake with canoe and life vests, fire ring & hot tub.

Tranquil Hills Lodging offers two gorgeous cabin rentals with all of the amenities you'd want including hot tub, game room with pool tables & more.

Places to Eat

Ale House 1890 showcases the history of Downtown Lancaster and features an excellent menu of food, craft beers & spirits along with superior service!

Campbell's Market is the newly-opened family owned and operated grocery store located in McArthur.  From fresh meat & produce to dairy & deli - stop by Campbell's to stock up on the grub you need during your stay.

Hungry Buffalo in Logan is open 7 days a week & offers a variety of unique, casual American cuisine, full service bar & General Store.

Kindred Spirits is located at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls and is a casual fine-dining experience and gourmet menu.  

Lake Hope Lodge offers a scratch-made menu of foods using as many products sourced locally as possible.  Dine inside or out on the deck overlooking the lake.  Make a point to make it to their Sunday Brunch Buffet - it's a winner!

Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ does it right!  If you're looking for melt-in-your-mouth tender smoked meat, this is the place to get it.

 

Places to Experience

High Rock Adventures is aptly named.  Because if you're into rock climbing, rappelling & nature - this is an adventure you won't soon forget!  And if that's a little too much adventure for your liking, check out their guided Eco-Nature tours where you'll learn all about the local history, geology and unique plants & trees that thrive in our region.

Hocking Hills Crafts & More has something for everyone on your shopping list!  Local craftsmen and women showcasing their wares throughout the store ensures that you won't likely leave here empty-handed.

Hocking Hills Moonshine is definitely worth a visit during your stay in the Hills!  Have the St. Clair boys take you on a guided tour through their distillery, try a sample or two of shine & ponder which of the umpteen varieties you're going to be taking back home with you.

R Adventure Park will surely rev up your visit to Hocking Hills!  This recreational facility is packed with activities -- ATV Rentals, ZipRail, Paint Ball & Ropes courses!!  Call ahead for reservations.

Raccoon Creek Outfitters is the place to go for the water bug in you.  Enjoy canoeing or kayaking on either a 5- or 7-mile route!  Offers primitive camping sites and onsite store for snacks & outdoor recreation gear.

Uncle Buck's Riding Stable & Dance Barn Saddle up, y'all!!  Uncle Buck's offers scenic guided trail rides for kids & adults using gentle, well-trained horses.
