It's one thing to plink at 300 yard targets - unless you're a sniper, that won't help you when sh*t hits the fan.
You will learn the safe and proper operation / manipulation of your rifle system, basic fundamentals and movement designed to increase confidence and proficiency. You learn how to perform emergency
& tactical reloads, how to resolve common weapon malfunctions and perform action / reaction live-fire drills.
This course is task-based and designed to meet students at their individual skill level. Your instructors work closely with you to ensure safe & successful movement throughout the various courses & assist, as required.

Q: Can I bring my own ammo or do I have to buy it from you?
A: Guests may bring their own ammo or purchase it from us. Steel core, green tips, tracer & armor-piercing ammo, black powder & Tannerite are prohibited.
Q: Are there any limits on the caliber of gun I can shoot at your range?
A: Our steel targets are rated up to and including the .338 Lapua Magnum. 50BMG is restricted from use on our range.
Q: Can I use my pistol caliber carbine?
A: Yes, pistol caliber carbines are welcome.
Q: Do I really need a plate carrier, chest rig, battle belt, etc. listed above as required gear?
A: These items are not necessary for this class since it is an introductory course. However, if you wish to attend Defensive Rifle 2 & 3, you will find it necessary to have some kind of magazine carrier that you wear.
You will advance your skills and build muscle memory by practicing and reinforcing previous fundamentals learned.
This course is designed with more complex drills to increase your speed and proficiency while under stress and engaging multiple targets.
You will also be introduced to skills necessary to transition between rifle and handgun – which should be the ultimate goal for any defensive shooter.

Q: Do I have to complete Defensive Pistol 2 before I take Defensive Rifle 2?
A: Because Defensive Rifle 2 introduces rifle/pistol transitions, it is assumed that attendees of this course have been formally trained on the safe and proper methods to draw from the holster. If a student has not attended such training, we recommend Defensive Pistol 2, which is our 1/2 day class dedicated to teaching those methods.
Defensive Rifle 3 requires successful completion of DR1 & DR2. This course will further build your muscle memory, accuracy, speed and ability to engage multiple targets on the move while under increased stress.
Instructors provide you specific scenarios for which you must safely engage including transitioning between weapons and proper use of cover / concealment.
Shot timers and low light scenarios will be introduced as time permits.
Session Length: + / - Eight (8) hours (lunch provided) | Cost: $175.00 per student.
